At times, I am a mortgaged house. Or I could be a star-filled sky, too.
Being a tool does not do it for me, nor feeling like a machine.
At a distance I resemble uncultivated land. Up close, a flowerpot.
Sometimes I would cease to be the machine or the tool in order to be the banks of that river where you gathered fistfuls of grass.
It should be enough for me to be everything that the light touches.

Soy, a veces, una casa hipotecada. O puedo ser, también, un cielo estrellado.
No me basta con ser una herramienta, ni sentirme una máquina.
De lejos parezco un terreno baldío. De cerca una maceta con flores.
A veces dejaría de ser maquina o herramienta para poder ser la orilla de ese río en el que juntabas pastitos de a puñados.
Debería bastarme con ser todo lo que toca la luz.
